I doubt anyone here would disagree with you about choosing which free AV works best for you, (given one's particular environment, needs, preferences and surfing habits). But i only trust my experience :) to choose an antivirus. I usually don't care about these comparisons because every one has an idea and you see very different results in different websites and each of them gives you statistics too. But I still see no compelling reason to recommend it. I haven't used AVG for several years now, and maybe it has cleaned up its act.

However, it is worth noting Avira also has many false positives while the other two were rated by AV-Comparatives as 'low' false positives.'
